Oops - I probably should have included that in my post.
Yeah, you nailed it. GasX pills were in need, and we were all out.

Yeah, i cant wait until these companies figure out the subscription model doesnβt work. I get they need a cash flow, etc. but subscriptions are death by a thousand cuts, not to mention that people are beginning to really evaluate if a product is really needed if a subscription is required. I have bypassed several products specifically because they require a subscription which just did t present enough value for the cost. I am far more likely to pay a one time license over a subscription.
Not just subscriptions but also data sharing agreements. Our new oven stated that data is not only shared with GE and Google but also used by others for the purpose of product improvement? Say what? How do you improve an oven. We have been baking for thousands of years.
I connected the oven and put it in my network jail to see who it's connecting to and there are so far 4 servers and two are located in China, one to Google, and one to AWS. I now have the oven firewalled off to see if it starts to frenzy with the inability to phone home.
An oven protected by a firewall....
All of our appliances and our cooktop are (luckily, it appears) quite dumb, and don't talk to anyone.
Your oven 24 hours after you cut it off:
I've seen worse. When I first started setting up piHole for ad blocking via DNS, Apple phones would frenzy when connected to my network (Friends using my guest network). Blocking Apple app telemetry is a no-no and breaks the terms of service for the iPhone. I have since had to white list those endpoints. I was seeing over 500 DNS hits per minute when blocked.
Wow...that's persistence.
