LOL. The iPhone was not the first "smartphone". 2007 wasn't the start of the race.

And I don't mean Blackberry using the mobitex abomination. What a POS architecture.

My Samsung Blackjack was a great 3G toilet surfer back in 2007.

Iirc, I had a HP Messenger before that. Both ran windows CE, which was pretty decent for the time.

Oh it does now, but back then it was very hackable. I had bodged in TomTom onto both of mine, so I had GPS navigation (using an external Bluetooth GPS module) in my phones before it was mainstream.
