Colin Hay is still as Australian as any other Scot living in California...
I was at a performance he did at a music festival a while back where the MC introduced him as Australian. Colin then opened with an explanation of the song he was about to play which was about growing up in Scotland. I felt kind of bad for the MC.
He lives in Dallas now, (at least thats what he said at the show). So does the rest of the band. Saw them a couple weeks ago at the first show of the tour. The rest of the men are from Cuba, the two women are from Guatemala and Peru (his wife). They sounded remarkably close to the original band!
