I just bought a Hue Outdoor Motion sensor to replace a Fibaro motion sensor that has failed. I'm using it without the Hue hub. I went into Devices > Add Zigbee to start pairing, pushed the button for three secs and it found the device and gave it the correct driver. However it's just doing nothing (I'm sat in the same room 8' from the C-8 with it). It's stuck on 'active' for motion and has not sent any updates from its initial (innacurate) temperature and lux measurements. Any tips other than to send it back? I thought these were supposed to be decent devices. Also is there no way of sending periodic lux and temperature measurements rather than relying on 'change'? TIA
There was a device made by Hue
'twas supposed to be good, but was poo
Pairing the 'Motion' was such a commotion
This thing's getting thrown in the loo
Hue Motion not working directly with Hubitat is quite a problem. In the UK I'm not aware of ANY other device that reports illuminance and temperature that's designed for external use. I'm currently using Fibaro Motion devices that I'm having to weatherproof and over a period of time one of them has been affected by moisture/condensation. I'd hoped to replace them with something designed for outdoor use but there's only the Hue available here....
