That is odd.... I have had this for a few years and it was apparently just "generic component"

Appears to have done the trick

NOTE I had to go to HA and click to "heat" and back to "heat_cool" to get it to show auto for the first time. Might have been able to do the same in HE

Ran side by side in separate windows.
Using the dashboard to select the following modes resulted in instant changes on the HA side:
HE HA
Heat Heat
Cool Cool
Auto (heat_cool
in dropdown) Heat_Cool

Also confirmed existing rules unaffected

That worked for me tooooo. Awesome!!!

So, until @ymerj has time to update, you can just copy & paste the driver from post #26 then make sure to enable Translate and make some changes to the thermostat(s) and the set point options will be there. Once HADB is updated, this entire thread is MOOT!!!!

Thank you to everyone who contributed and @ymerj The only outstanding issue that is outside of my original scope is why does Homekit Controller Integration in HE only see one of my Ecobee thermostats.
