This is a known issue, and is fixed in a beta version of the iOS app. The beta is a public beta, so you can install it.
Follow the directions to sign up for and access the beta iOS app using the directions in this post:
The current beta release of the iOS app is 2.1.1 (390), and I can confirm that the issue is resolved in this version.
