Well, things have been acting wonky, and I have just not had the time or the energy to deal with it. About a week or so ago I posted asking about unplugging and re-plugging in the hub. That I had done that twice and things had gone back to working. I was STRONGLY advised not to do that. So I have not. Well, today, NOTHING works. I mean nothing and when I sign into my hubitat and tell it to find the hub, it says "Site cannot be reached". Now what do I do. I am so frustrated and did I mention tired. I just have no clue where to start or what to do. SIGH !!!
Update:
So I got into my Google mesh and it shows the IP address to be the IP address that Hubitat is trying to use. I do have a green light on the C8. I can't aceess dashboards, anything, which makes it hard to try and figure this out.
That does sound very frustrating.
Can you access the hub by entering the IP address followed by โ:8081โ so for example, 192.168.1.50:8081
The hubโs diagnostic interface might be functioning even if the hub seems to be otherwise locked up.
Thank you. That allowed me to get to the Hub and do the soft reset. Now, question if you don't mind. Where do I go from here. I still have an issue. For several weeks now stuff randomly works. I use lots of Alexa commands. Like "Good Morning" or "Turn on Office". Several switches in those command no longer respond. I have the original version of the Google WIFI Mesh Router I bought in 2019.... or do I need a new Hubitat? In searching around I did find where yesterday prior to things just freezing up the Hubitat had "LOW MEMORY"..... not sure what to do about that. Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.
Hard to say what may have caused your original issue, but one way to try to refresh things is to go back to that hub diagnostic page and perform a โsoft reset.โ
You can restore a hub backup immediately after doing the soft reset. You wonโt lose any data.
