I was able to pair several Aqara door and leak detectors yesterday. They were working. Today all of them are showing up as “0 messages” . Things I have tried:
Upgraded firmware in my C8
Rebuilt Zigbee radio
paired and re-paired devices
disabled/re-enabled “hub mesh”
Seems my Zigbee radio is having issues all of the sudden.
Try performing an orderly Hub Shutdown via the hub's Settings menu. Once the hub is fully down (LED will be RED), unplug the hub from power, wait about 10-15s, and then plug it back in. Let the hub boot up and settle down for a few minutes and then try pairing your devices again.
Also, you can try @kkossev's Double Luck VooDoo Zigbee pairing procedure.
If not, you can always just leave all “Hub Mesh” options unchecked – Hub Mesh is a way to link multiple hubs; it has nothing to to with how a single hub manages its own Z-device meshes.
Edit - I don’t use Aqara stuff myself, but it doesn’t look like you have any mains-powered zigbee devices that could act as repeater for your zigbee mesh – that could be very well be contributing to the connectivity issues of those battery devices (no battery device can act as a repeater).
They are notorious for being problematic devices for some. The newer ones seem better, but of all the complaints I see on here about Zigbee devices, Aqara seem like they are talked about quite often.
I agree. Using non-repeating battery devices is a recipe for frustration. You need at least one repeater for every 5 or maybe 10 devices at most. It depends a lot on your home layout, how far apart things are, interference, and shielding like brick walls, metal air ducts, wire mesh plaster and lathe, and so on.
Here is a post I would suggest reading, it has a lot of good information.
