C8 vs C8 pro, differences?

Has anyone figured out if the C8-Pro has the same CPU as the C8?

1.5GHz to 2GHz with the same CPU architecture is just 33% more speed.

I asked @mike.maxwell and @bravenel this exact question and didn’t get an answer.

An ARM architecture upgrade is the only way to get twice the performance for a 500 MHz clock speed increase.

Edit: looks like Arm A53 to A55 + The memory bus is now 32 bit up from 16 bit.

What is C8 Pro SOC

First thanks @bravenel for disclosing that info. It does a few things. First and most important it means there as has been allot of incorrect speculation in the past as it was thought it was a S905X in the newer models. It also validates some of what I was saying above. If we go to the amlogic website it is possible to validate a few of my previous statements. The process node did drop from 28nm to 12nm with the new chip and we did get a ARM base design bump from Coretex A53 to the A55 varian…
