C8 Stuck on Zigbee Firmware Update

Zigbee network went offline earlier today (not sure why and this was the second time in probably a week). The Zigbee settings page said “Zigbee is enabled but offline.” I decided to update the firmware. Clicked the button, typed “update” in the text box, and hit enter. It says it should take about a minute. I’m 20 minutes into this. It also clearly says:

“DO NOT POWER OFF the hub during the update process.

Power Loss during the update will PERMANENTLY disable the Zigbee radio.”

So now I’m stuck. I can’t do a reboot and the update isn’t actually updating…. The “Cancel” button is grayed out too.

Thoughts???

Dang buddy it’s been quite awhile since you posted, any luck?

Unfortunately not. Left it running overnight and no progress. If I look in another instance at the zigbee network it says disabled.

Ah man. Im assuming you don’t have the enable button or it’s greyed out in setting > zigbee details?

I actually do have that button but held off on hitting it thinking it might do something with the power cycle. Really don't want to risk losing the zigbee radio. That being said, at this point the update didn't seem to start loading (as the status doesn't show a percentage) so maybe I'm safe to reboot…

I got impatient and rebooted via the UI. It came back up with the zigbee network disabled but I had the enable button. Started right up and I've confirmed it is functional. Phew!!!

That was a scary 12 hours.

Glad that worked out for you!
