C-7 Hubitat Hardware Chip SSD Question

Hello, I have a simple question to ask about C-7 Hubitat hardware SSD.
My Hubitat is not experiencing performance issues. Currently running version: 2.4.3.137.
I keep up with Hubitat version updates. (Thank you for your hard work coding!)

*Will my C-7 Hub eventually run out of memory resources; how would I check if C-7 is getting low on available memory ??? Lots of updated versions have been applied over the last ~4 years.

Thank you, hope this is the appropriate place to ask this general question.

There is no SSD. Are you worried about memory or storage? Neither is likely to be an issue, but if you have Hubitat Package Manager, then installing this [RELEASE] Hub Information Driver v3 will give you all the information you need, and then some.

The Hubitat hubs all utilize eMMC for local, persistent storage. This includes the operating system, Java VM, and all of the Hubitat software. When platform versions are updated, only a few prior versions are kept on the hub. The Hubitat team makes sure that the eMMC storage is properly managed to ensure it does not run out of space.

It depends, but if you keep adding devices, automations and integrations then eventually, yes. All resources are finite.

If you are taking ram… there is is the hub information driver

If you are talking about physical / disk storage the Device Firmware Updater will show you “disk” free space of the user accessible parts.

IF you are really concerned about it, an option would be to consider adding a second hub and having one host the devices, while the other runs the automations. With the C7,and C8 (in this regard they are the same hub, the C8 just has the 800 z-wave chip) this really shouldn't be necessary . That is how my system is configured, but no longer out of necessity (my old C4 struggled ), I am just too lazy to put it all back together again. For what its worth I currently have 2 spare C7's and a spar C8.

I also strongly recommend the Hub Information Driver V3 mentioned above.
