Built In Driver SmartSense Multi Sensor

I noticed that SmartSense Multi Sensor I have is reporting every 2 minutes even though there is no change. As a result, it's eating battery power. The built in driver does not allow me to change the reporting interval. How can I change the interval?

which version of the smart sense? I have a V4 and it is reporting correctly

V1. Reporting is fine but it has no way to adjust interval.

I didn't even know there was a V1 MULTI-sensor, but guess it makes sense

When I got it, I needed a thermometer capable of going down to -6. The Centralite multi-sensors, Smartthings relabelled, circa 2016, take 2x AAAA (unusual), read down to at least -9F, and up to 140F It may not actually be a V1 but it isn't the one out now either.

I tried all the drivers, but none of them let me change the reporting interval.

I have one of these on my garage door and believe @ogiewon does too. I got mine with my first ST hub. My batteries have lasted over 1.5 years every time I change them. I would suggest resetting the device and then enable Zigbee pairing and it will fall back into place. Follow @Navat604’s instructions on resetting:

You might click configure after pairing again too. I have a newer ST multisensor that would report active constantly after changing the coin battery and it would stop after configure.

I still have 2 running and the reporting interval is not the caused of battery. I get around a year worth with my 2 x aaaa batteries. One of the sensor is mounted in an unheated garage in Canada West coast.
I use SmartSense Multi V1 as my dream driver.
There's also a chance you have weak zigbee signal in that location.

Tried sitting it 3 feet from the hub -- no change.

I simply need a way to change the polling interval -- every 3 minutes is way too much:

I see why you would want the change the interval. -0.65 degree F in a freezer :exploding_head:

10 hours of entries, every 2-3 minutes, same info ---- except the battery going down. :frowning:
