Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your question, but you'll next need to add the desired IR codes so that you can leverage those respective commands from Hubitat.
Or if you can please identify the step you're stuck on within the setup instructions, then we'll likely be able to help get things moving for you again.
You aren't able to use devices and codes from the Broadlink mobile app once you get in to this integration in Hubitat. You'll have to re-learn the codes or import them from somewhere else once you get them in to a format that resembles a long string of hex characters starting with "2600..."
Which type of Sony device is it? My receiver is a Sony and I have learned most of its functions and could share the codes if that would help.
Thanks. This is the answer I needed to hear. I was hoping my that I could simply tell it my devices that were in the broadlink app but now I know better.
It's an older Sony Bravia TV. No worries on sharing codes as I have the remote and will do the training this evening. Or maybe I can get my kids to do it! Lol..thanks again for the quick help!
I must be missing a step. Can someone suggest how to tackle this requirement?
I am trying to capture (then send) a two-digit channel for example “26”.
However, when I start the IR learning it only captures the “2” but not the “6”. I have tried inputting fast and slow with no luck.
I also tried learning each number separately then using the Push with a sequence “Sequence: code=two; code=six” but this send each number separately.
I was able to program via the Broadlink app doing this.
Learning the On and off, of the box works great along with the TV. I just want to be to also use automation (WebCore) to change the channel based on a certain condition.
My Broadlink is the RM Pro 4.
My cable box is a Cisco and the remote is the TV Remote 1056B03 Motorola Universal (Rogers Cable).
My Hubitat Hub is a C7 with the most recently applied updates
The Broadlink IR and RF remote integration is the most recent one posted GITHUB.
I think you are saying that you want to enter a two digit channel. I assume this takes two button presses on your Motorola remote - 2, then 6.
So, you'd have to learn 2 (using learnIR followed by saveLearnedCode with a specific name), then learn 6 (using learnIR followed by saveLearnedCode with a specific name). Then you'd have to sendSavedCode twice, using the name you saved for the 2 button and then the name you saved for the 6 button.
Thanks @tomw, for some reason I thought I was missing a step but that's what I just tried using Webcore and it worked. I tried doing it in the device but was not fast enough.
Are "two" and "six" the names of the saved codes from learning the 2 button and 6 button on the Motorola remote? If so, then I would expect this to work. Maybe it is too fast (and needs a short delay between the codes) if not?
EDIT: make sure that you do not capitalize sequence. It should be sequence:, not Sequence:
I have a pdf IR code list for my Hisense 55UG6 Roku TV. Can I convert it into a format that I can use to import the codes? If so, what does that format look like?
Those are labeled as Pronto codes, which is a standard format that my integration can support.
If you use my Broadlink System Manager app, you can import Pronto codes and it will convert them to the Broadlink format to be stored in the app. Then you can sync them out to Broadlink Remote virtual devices from the Broadlink System Manager app.
Check out the "Usage Instructions" section of the readme for the system manager app.
I was using old app and work great, not try to move to this new and i'm stuck at the beginign:
I have all my code in the previous apps and hope it's not needed to delete behore move with your apps
Meanwhile I migrate some device to HA, and created a strong network HA-HE, question: it is possible from HA to learn this remote?
What can I do to fix and connect also here in HE?
I don't understand this question. Will you please explain what it is you want to do?
On this, I sometimes see the UI lag and show the wrong value, even though it actually worked. Please press Initialize again. Does it begin working as expected?
Hi! I'm new to HE but I installed app and now I have a broadlink device but I can't use it in Rule Machine. I search it by all options but I just can't see it.
Where can I find it or how can I use a broadlink device in a rule?
Welcome to HE. You have to use the custom action / custom command types in Rule Machine. I discussed it a bit along the way in this thread. Please give these tips a shot and let me know if you aren't able to get it working.
Exactly. Since I am using this to change the settings on my mini splits, the code is the same for the first half of most transmits and it gets difficult to tell which one was sent.
