no worries. I know the feeling and completely understand

Still getting the same error through HPM.

Would be great to try these drivers but completely understand if it too trixy to find the time.

Cheers, Colin

Odd, is your HPM app up to date?

Alternatively, install the library and driver manually. Not ideal, but I can't replicate your issue here.

Got this installed finally. Cheers.

Hi mate one of my regrets was buying Hive because it didn't work with Hubitat

You have just made my life so much easier. Do you take donations or "buy me a coffee"

Thanks, @Shaneb - that's very kind! I suppose the classic PayPal method is probably easiest. I'd normally spend any donations on hosting fees for projects I do... but if you said I had to buy a pint then I could hardly go against your wishes.

Sorted!

One issue I am experiencing but not played enough is I have set a schedule on the Thermostat and exposed the device to Google home, but unless I change the heating on Hubitat any changing of heat in Google home just instantly flicks back to schedule setting

E.g. schedule at 20c and I up it in Google home to 21c it will flick back to 20c

Thank you, most kind! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Ooh, now it's been a while since I wrote this thing, but if I remember correctly this is deliberate, for a reason I do not recall. If the thermostat is in schedule mode it will always remain in schedule mode unless explicitly told to switch to manual. In effect, the mode takes precedence.

For the effect you want, perhaps you just need to choose boost mode at 21c? Then it will still return to schedule after the boost time has passed. I don't have any Google Home services, so no idea if that's even an option for you.

It kinda works. But it seems to default to heat-cool mode on Google home and doesn't allow me to move out of that mode even though I have no fans or air con.

I think I have some kinds work around but still playing with it, our house is a nightmare to get the temperature right

Oh, I think I've got a similar issue with HomeKit. It insists on having cooling options.

I'm sure it's the US mindset that everyone must have aircon, whereas our cooling is "turning the heating off" and "opening a window". :joy:

Hi all you 'Hiveists'.
I'm currently using Tado and they have changed how API calls are made to give more security.
This is a pain as I can no longer control my heating through HE.

I've read this thread and if possible would it be possible for you guys/gals to confirm a few things for me.

Currently I can buy a Hive Thermostat Mini for £79.
This includes the mini thermostat and a receiver.
The Hive hub is an additional £70.
It says they are both zigbee so no hive hub would be needed.
If I were to follow the comprehensive instructions above, I could connect these devices directly to my HE hub and write my schedules as I currently do with Tado.

I'm assuming I can then connect remotely to these devices via the HE hub should I need to.

Are there any pitfalls with the Hive system that I should be aware of?
Maybe some of you have moved on to something else that I should consider.
Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated.

Tagging @Shaneb , @cj.bucknell & @birdslikewires as you are last couple of people who've posted. (Sorry to bother you).

I've not tested the thermostat mini with these drivers (don't have one) but my old-style unit works just fine. There's no scheduling through Hubitat, but the rest works fine.

Sorry to be brief, I have to run, but so long as you only need the basics and can schedule on the device itself, I'm using this right now.

Kit turned up (mini version) and installed. Working like a charm using your drivers.
Thanks for this.

Oh, amazing! That's great to know, thanks for posting back!

That's good news as I'm looking at buying the mini thermostat version, and wanted the Hive TRVs to use my existing HE zigbee network.

Quick question: does the act of resetting the thermostat to get it to pair to the HE clear out any existing schedules? I.e. if I set up a schedule using the Hive app, and then repair the receiver/thermostat to the HE, will it lose that schedule? or will I have to recreate the schedule via the thermostat interface?

Do the TRVs work independently too, or are they supported in HE already? I have Sonoff ones, so haven't experienced how Hive have integrated those.

It probably does, I'm afraid. It'll only let go of the previous Zigbee network with a full reset, so those schedules will likely go too.

Ah, I don't know, I haven't bought any of it yet. My assumption was that given the receiver/thermostat would be using the HE zigbee channel, that the TRV's would use the same channel (and therefore benefit from the larger zigbee mesh). But if they're connecting separately to the thermostat/receiver, would that not cause interference?

Apparently resetting the receiver does clear the schedule.

@bobbles, how did you set schedules with the thermostat mini?

I use webCoRE to run my schedules. I just converted my existing Tado pistons to use the Hive thermostat.
I've not looked into schedules through Hive.
Sorry but I can't help.
