Update on this: I think I'd forgotten that Hub Protect includes the warranty extension. I never bought it as there was no criticality to hub replacement. As the hub has become more central to the home operations, I would certainly consider adding the Hub Protect subscription given this: Hub Protect Extended Warranty - Out of Warranty Device Add
