I am using Hubitat C8 and currently experiencing problems with the driver of Aqara P1 Motion Sensor. I tried pressing for 5 seconds, pressing "Saving Preferences", and also tried pressing the reset button for 1 second then pressing "Saving Preferences" multiple times. I get the following error:
Your Aqara P1 motion sensor is not successfully paired to the C-8 hub. If you look at the device details Data section, you will see that it is missing the model and manufacturer data.
First, delete the device. Then, pair it again to the hub using this workaround. Most likely, you will need to pair the device a second time (without deleting it) so that the P1 sensor starts sending motion events.
Looking in the settings of my Hubitat C8 for Zigbee, it was enabled but now initializing where it is disabled now. First time I have seen this! I have not used Zigbee in forever. My home is mostly Z-Wave. Will get back to you on this when I fix the connection. Also, I will look into your comment you suggested as well:
Typically, rebooting the HE hub resolves the issue of the Zigbee radio being stuck in initialization mode. If rebooting does not work, go to the Settings menu to power off the hub. Then, physically disconnect the USB power, wait for 30 seconds, and reconnect the USB power plug.
Tried syncing the Aqara P1 Zigbee with "Pair while trying to avoid Zigbee 3.0 repeaters". Did not get a response sadly. Looked at the Zigbee logs and didn't get much information from it other than the hopping searching.
I went back to syncing the Aqara P1 again by doing the following:
Add Device --> Virtual --> Aqara P1 Motion Sensor (this is the driver)
And still cannot get the Device Details to show the aqaraModel. Wondering if my Zigbee Channel and Power should be a different setting?
Dumb me thinking that since Aqara unique, I thought I would have to set the device to work through a Virtual Service but going through your process @kkossev, it worked. The Double Luck voodoo process for me as well as the reset of the hub.
