Anyone have issues with aeotec nano switch reporting its state back to HE?

C8 pro

My kitchen aeotec nano dimmer. When i turn off at the wall. it reports back the status via BasicReport()

But the laundry aeotec nano switch, I can turn on and off via HE. But when i flick at the wall switch, the status doesn't send back to HE.

I tried a few things:

  • ensured param 80 is set to 2. Flicked to 3, and then back to 2. Didn't fix issue.
  • installed basic zwave tool from hubitat forums. to check the association and try and fix it. I got association report and saw that group 1 is not assigned to hub. This is the issue for not reporting back its status.
  • tried to change association via "Z-Wave Association Tool" found in package manager.

but it doesn't allow me to choose hub as the destination device. Hence cant set Laundry association to hub.

I have to either upgrade firmware or use PC to set the association.

I cant even find the aeotec firmwares online. Has anyone faced this issue and fixed it easily?

mine has been a problem for months now I posted here and not one response. It worked flawlessly for years the a update came (not sure which) and no joy from dashboards or anything set to toggle instead of direct on or off command.

yayy I fixed the issue. See below.

The issue was that the group 1 identifier was set to empty.

I had to get the basic zwave tool driver to check the associations. Issue was there is no set and delete options. So I added it in.

try my driver and check associations and add it in if not there.
