Android Presence

Hi there,

Bit of an odd one - my mobile phone is correctly detected inside the geofence area, yet the status of the mobile device is not updated.

Presence detection worked fine until I installed the new version of the Android app, and it still did not start working when I rolled back.

App has always-on location enabled and whitelisted for battery usage.

If you send a Device Notification text to that same device in hubitat that is showing “not present”, does it get to your phone? (Enter some text, then click the “Device Notification” button.)

If it doesn’t, it means that you are not on the right device in Hubitat (IE, the phone app is linked to another device in Hubitat), and hence they wouldn’t be synched.

Did you try the steps outlined here (or is it even applicable)?:

Thank you for the feedback - I was connected to the correct device, but no notifications were received. The problem was resolved when I deleted and then recreated the mobile device.
