I see the NWS maps are going to be replaced as of Dec 8 (BREAKING CHANGE?) see the new here NWS Radar
Well most of their active radar displays used Flash and that is getting blocked in most browsers on Dec. 31 so it's about time! (I assume that is the reason for the change.)
I doubt it will matter. The feeds above are the raw feeds from the satellites.
Curious if anyone else is getting 404 errors on the weather.gov site; was working this morning but as of a couple hours ago trying to visit any of the radar.weather.gov gif pages returns a cannot GET /404.html. Regional radars from GOES16 obviously still work.
Yeah, its broken now. Same issue getting 404 error. Any alternatives?

lol who knows, but that definitely sounds like government at work
Was just looking for ideas on weather radar images, and it seems most are broken these days . I had been linking to a JPG image from the local ABC news station that was great, but as of January 1, it is stuck. Even their official page is linking to the outdated image - https://abc7ny.com/weather/doppler/new-jersey/
Hope it comes back - haven't found anything that is working that is as appropriate for my area and info I want.
Yea, has to do with funding for them or something.
The NWS issued a statement saying that activity had exceeded their funding. They are discussing methods to limit access.
A little patience paid off for me, as the ABC News radar that I really like came back this morning and has already updated a few time.
They all get their data from the NWS. Once NWS gets their stuff together it should get better.

I've had better luck with the satellite feeds. They never went out for me.
Added a bunch of Geocolor satellite feeds for each of the regions.
UK Weather radar link maybe?
