2.0.5 (273)
I gave up on the app for presence. It worked great when the new app first came out, then I'm not sure what happened but it quit totally. Started working again but very poorly.
I had to switch to owntracks to get reliable presence detection.

What Android Version are you On ?
Very ODD i can change the Presence status to Away or Present simply by changing the slider radius.
It wouldnt matter if i am inside or outside the radius. Just sliding the slider on the mobile app and saving it.....it flips the Presence state.
Very strange
Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the mobile app at least 3x.
I further noticed Today that the Mobile App is STUCK in the mode of "Inside of Geofence"
and will NOT change its status no matter what i do.....
Turn On Geofence
Turn Off Geofence
Moving the geofence slider and saving
Uninstall / reinstall the Mobile app
I have experienced that in the past, although it has been working normally over the past week.
While experiencing the problem, I opened Google maps to verify if the GPS in the phone was reporting correctly. As soon as Google maps updated to show my correct location, the Hubitat App also showed me correctly outside or inside the Geofence.
This procedure was tested 4-5 times, and always caused the mobile app to update immediately. Without opening Google maps, the Hubitat app would eventually update it's geofence status after 30-60 minutes.
Ok I will open google maps and fiddle with that see if it changes anything
Thankyou! You are On-Spot. It worked! Kudos and Thankyou!
This indicates that the app is using google to parse the GPS info on the phone. So is there a way to make google maps not go to sleep?
That wasn't meant to be a solution.
It was more/less a test to see if we are all experiencing the same problem.
It does prove that the GPS within the phone is providing accurate locations when an app (like Google Maps) requests it. It appears to me (as an amateur) that the Hubitat App is not requesting that info. Or it requires an additional permission that isn't being requested during the installation.
I might rule out a permission issue since as I said, it will update on it's own after 30-60 minutes, but it needs to do that much more frequently to act as a presence sensor.
