1 Axis gear connected, but 1 isn't pairing

Hub C5 and platform 2.3.9.184

It's been awhile since I had to pair anything, but I have a Axis gear I paired last under generic window shade and that worked. Today I want to pair another Axis gear and I know it can pair because I can pair it in the app, I've factory reset it, but when I try to pair in habitat, it won't find it.

I start the zibgee pairing on the hub and then I click the "pair" button on the Axis and it won't pair, but it will pair everytime to the Axis app.

I’d read this thread for troubleshooting steps, and you may have a HW issue with your AXIS Gear. I’m on a C7 and i’ve never had an issue getting them to pair with hubitat after changing them from bluetooth to zigbee mode.

Axis Gear Does the Right Thing!

For the past year, I have been trying everything to get my Axis Gear (zigbee shade controllers) working. Thanks to @mike.maxwell, we got the generic zigbee shade driver implemented late last year with explicit support for these devices. I thought that might solve it. Nope. I have factory reset and re-paired the Gears more times than I can count. I have reached out to Axis (now branded Ryse), only to have them say it's a Hubitat issue. Thanks. Agree with @sidjohn1. They (Axis) had to sheepishly take my units back to upgrade the firmware on their bench. Ever since they did that, they’ve been rock solid for me.
