Zwave stopped working

After being up for about 2 weeks. zwave just stopped working..
The radio was on/up.. only about 10 devices had any routes.. the remainder all had a repair button.

Tried a reboot ... didn't fix it..
Shutdown and wait then repower hub fixed the issue.

if anyone wants to look at engineering logs.. or is this a known issue/low memory problem?

@bobbyD

What version of firmware?

He’s on 2.2.9.146, looks like memory was down around 250 so maybe, load doesn’t look like it was an issue…

Oops, didn't see that (no reading glasses on this morning, doh!)

If power cycle fixed it, you likely ran out of bandwidth. Check logs for devices that are hitting your radio excessively:

Probably isn’t any good way, other than hooking up a Zwiffer and capturing traffic, to see bandwidth usage realtime…

nothing doing that. and as i said it was up fine for 2 weeks.. also why would one device hammering it cause all the routes for all devices disappear .

If you have a rabid device overwhelming the mesh, the mesh can collapse.

I see this regularly on my C7. Zwave transmission from the hub just stops. Sometimes it comes back after a few minutes, sometimes not. I've reached out to support a couple of times about this. Unfortunately I only reach out for support when I'm at my witt's end with the wife threatening to microwave the hub. So putting together a reasoned argument without resorting to poor etiquette has been difficult.

The thing is, the hub stops transmitting. This isn't based on logs, it's based on examination of the radio spectrum using an SDR receiver. It stops, and there is no arguing that. I've looked around the forums for others suffering the same issue and it's always dismissed as there must be a chatty device or the majority of users don't see this. Good for them.

But, there is an issue and it's with the hub.
