I've been using the Z Wave Poller to poll some devices for a while. Just recently it stopped polling them. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Poller but with no success. I have updated the software, firmware, and everything I can think of.
Can anyone help me or has anyone else dealt with this?
can you give more details? which model of hub do you have? what firmware is it running? what model(s) is the device you're polling? do you have a solid mesh (if you have a C-7, get the z-wave details)? do you have any ghost nodes?
Sorry I'm not super good at this...I'm still learning. The hardware details say C-7 so I believe that's what it is. I don't know exactly what a ghost node is but after doing a search, I might have one. I did a force remove of a motion sensor. Could that be causing my problem? How do I get rid of the ghost node?
I'm polling some light switches that I was given...I think they were Lutron switches. The driver is Generic Zwave switch. I don't know if I have a solid mesh or not.
I hope this helps. Thanks for any help anyone can give. It was working just fine and then it stopped.
OK...I only have a few Zwave devices as I am still getting started. I did a Zwave radio wave reset and re-added my devices. Since I only had a few this only took me a few minutes and it got rid of my ghost nodes.
The bad news is that the Z Wave Poller still isn't working for some reason. Here are the new details for my devices and for the Z Wave.
Tried your suggestion aaiyar. I have also tried a reboot. The logs say that the polling is starting but nothing is being polled. For example in the live logs, nothing is happening like it used to. If I manually turn on a light, it doesn't register in the app.
Rolled back to .130- no success
Rolled back to .129- no success
Is there something like a setting that I'm missing? In the Z Wave Poller app I have selected all the switches and it says polling but is there something else I need to do?
I had set up both an older bathroom in wall fan switch and a basement dimmer switch and could not get them to poll correctly. But after reading this and choosing the "Stop all polling" option, waiting a bit and then starting it back up, fixed it. It's not instant but it's better than having to buy new ones. Exposing them using the HomeKit app worked too.
