It will take a bit for the device to settle in with its routes.
It must have settled in. A few hours later, it began doing the same thing. Once I remove the switch from Z-Wave network, it's just fine acting as a dumb switch. If it's added back, it reverts to same behavior. My final guess is that it's a bad switch.
I'll replace with a Zooz I have lying around here or may just switch to a Zigbee 3.0 GE.
It's a firmware issue. I have 2 switches and one Dimmer. I updated the dimmer a while back. Someone posted the firmware for the dimmer but I couldn't find one for the switch. Dragon tech support is next to useless.
In theory, you could update the switches with homeseer since they are the same but you have to buy their software and z-stick.
I used to get them working by holding the ON for a few seconds. This usually fixed the issue until the next power cycle or lost of mesh to HE.
