Zwave Paths

I have two Leviton plugs outdoors that suddenly started having control issues. I put in another Leviton plug right by the window that’s within 15 feet of plugs. Still having control issues. The graphic illustration of the paths showed only the hub connected to the plugs. There are numerous switches and plugs between the outdoor plugs and the hub. This morning, plugs are working. Graphic illustration shows the plugs have a new path from a switch. Switch is further away than a number of other devices.

Question: Is there a way to create the paths? I’ve tried repairing the zwave network, but nothing happens. As long as it’s working, I’m fine. Just curious about forcing paths. Thanks

Yup...not messing w/things that already work can be a skill that is hard to master.

Take a look at this - not sure how totally reliable it is.

Reset zwave routes

I may have come across a way to manually set a primary route for a device, but it would require a secondary controller (USB Stick) and the PC Controller software. Have not tested it out yet, just found the info today.
