Zooz Zen52 not including

Hi! I'm at the start of my smart home journey and chose Hubitat for its ease of use out of the box.

I'm trying to add ad setup my first device but things are not going as expected.

The device is a ZooZ Zen52

I had added it in the past but had to remove it to start over. I did the exclusion and tried to include it back again using the Smart Start Inclusion. The device stayed "pending" for hours. So I canceled it and try adding it again using the normal procedure. No success.

So here's what i've done in an effort to try to get it included:

  • factory reseted the Zooz Zen52
  • Hubitat soft reset
  • Hubitat hard reset
  • Unplugged hubitat for minutes
  • Unplugged Zooz Zen52 for minutes
  • Z-wave repair

What am I missing?

We need additional details, explained below. Along with some extra tips.

Model: Hubitat C8 Pro
Firmware: 2.4.1.17

I've done full hard reset and left the hib off for a few minutes.

Regional settings are correct, set as EU. The Zen52 is also the EU version.

Hub powered by the supplied power adaptor.

I will let the Hub running to complete 12h, but it's a new Hub and i' trying to install my first device which is right next to the Hub.

Full Reset from the diagnostic tool? Or what does this mean?

Then should be no need to see the z-wave details, it should be blank.
Did you try to migrate to this hub from another one at all or are you just doing a fresh new setup?

Full Reset from the diagnostics tool, yes.

Fresh setup.

Avoid doing any more Full Reset's, it wipes out the back end logging that staff can use.

Make sure the hub is not near a bunch of other networking gear, that has been known to cause interference with including especially.

One more thing you could try is doing an EXCLUDE on the hub and device, this test just to see if the hub radio can talk to the device at all. The hub will say Unknown Device excluded.
