Zooz ZEN20 Ver 2.0 Power Strip - Great Device

I just got my Zooz ZEN20 Power Strip and man am I impressed. The quality is high and the functionality is great! It looks and feels great and exudes quality from the packaging to the finish on the product.

Besides control of the 5 outlets, the power reporting is good and it also has 2 USB outlets (can't be controlled but report power values). It shows up in devices as the main strip and child devices for each outlet. Z-wave plus and repeater as well.

My application.... I have 4 POE switches that feed my cameras. Sometimes my cameras go offline and have to be power reset. Right now I have to unplug the ethernet cable and replug it to reset the camera. With this power strip, I have the POE switches plugged into the outlets. I have a tile on the dashboard that groups the camera names with the switch. I created a virtual button to turn off the switch, wait 30 second and turn it back on. That resets the failing camera (and the others on that switch). Works great. I am also monitoring the power on each outlet and can see when it drops below a normal value (different day and night due to IR lights) and can respond.

Thanks for sharing your application! We're happy to hear the strip is working well for you

You may want to consider getting POE switches that allow for individual port control of POE output so as to independently power-cycle your cameras. Relatively cheap TP-link switches have this feature or consider the Cisco SG-350 line of switches which can be found fairly cheaply on Amazon for more professional-level options. Also, I have 8 Amcrest 4MP outdoor POE cameras-- they have been up 2 years and I have never needed to power cycle one. Why do yours keep needing to be reset?

I just picked one up and it was real easy to configure. It's on sale now at this site: Zooz Z-Wave Plus S2 Power Strip ZEN20 VER. 2.0 - The Smartest House

I know this is an old post, but I've just installed and paired a couple of these Zen20's, and I'd like to know what tile you are using on a dashboard to monitor power. What does the tile definition look like to display power consumption.

Using the latest rev ( 2.2.3.119) do I need to have the parent and children set up as both outlets and power / energy meters on separate tiles? Which one, btw, energy or power would be the better template to use for this device?

Said another way, can I use the Power Meter template and have it report energy consumption and function like an outlet (on/off) as well under a single tile?
