I recently added a Zooz ZSE29 to my devices. Zero issue adding it. However in Device Information under Type is did not pull anything in. I see that this is a supported device on the list, but it is not actually listed under Type.
If I change to Zooz Motion Sensor ZSE18 or Zooz 4-in-1 sensor, it works for sending motion. However it does not list the battery status.
How do I get the correct device type added?
One other item - I have the latest driver on the hub.
According to the list you should be using the "Generic Z-Wave Motion Sensor" as a driver for that device. There will be no battery info until the device actually sends it. It might take a while.
Hi all, did you buy the version 2.0 sensor? I just bought 4 of these by they don't seem to get recognised when I try to pair them to my hub. If you've got version 2.0 then I'm obviously doing something wrong but if you've got an earlier version then maybe the code needs updating
Is your hub updated to the latest release? Have you tried exclusion first to reset the sensor? If all of that fails, please get in touch with our support and we'll help you through the set-up process!
Once you do get it working, I highly recommend hard-wiring them. Mine works great but was a battery hog. It's now hard-wired.
Also, I unfortunately bought mine in late Oct from Amazon and got version 1 just b4 the new & improved version came out. If I understand correctly, the improvement is partially or fully hardware so I couldn't update firmware to improve mine so that I can adjust settings from device page. I can only use screw dials on actual device. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
NOW you can use the new driver called Zooz Outdoor Motion Sensor Advanced.
Yeah, version 2. Still not rubber gasket, I think they added S2 security or something. It pairs very quickly. Just put in the batteries and it will START in inclusion mode. Not need to mess with the tamper switch the FIRST time you try to pair it.
Both the system one (new) and the USER ones have been updated.
The specific USER adds lux and the ability to adjust the settings. It will be selected by default if you use the new 2.2.9 interface and the drop down menus.
It is now fully support with version 2.2.9
