Zooz and Minoston - same LR outdoor double plug?

Thought you might find this interesting, @jtp10181.

I recently installed a Minoston LR MP24Z outdoor dual-outlet plug. Looking at the Zooz Zen14, it seems Zooz and Minoston either use the same OEM supplier, or one is the OEM for the other?

The Zooz Zen14 and Double Plug drivers both work w/the Minoston, and provide control of both plugs.

Nie-Tech, who also operates the Evalogik brand (other products you'll find that look similar), is the OEM behind a lot of these devices. So, it's certainly not unusual to find many that look alike. But different brands may have different firmware developed for them, so everything is not likely to work the exact same between all of these, even if outwardly similar.

Thanks for the info - I've had a few Minoston devices and they have worked well overall.

Makes sense to expect different FW/FW variations between Zooz and Minoston and other vendors, and EvaLogik drivers work w/Minoston devices as well. Interesting that the Zooz FW works better than the Minoston FW downloaded from their Github.

Yeah it seems as though Zooz has the better firmware developers, or possibly they just pay for more updates / enhancements vs the other brands that just get the basics.
