Zone Motion controllers tech question

Greetings
I hope someone can shine a little light on me regarding zone motion controllers.
So I have created 4 zones as Triggered actions
as an example: so I picked 2 rooms together with a total of 3 motions sensors 15 seconds window
as trigger devices I chose same motiosn sensors and also 2 window door comntact sensors with a 10 min activity timeout
I did not pick any switches or or anything else
I do have 6 hue spots in 1 room and 1 hue aurelle panel in the other.
so these are my questions:
1: is it a problem to pick the same motion sensors again as triggers together with the contact sensors?

2: what about the lights? I want hese zones to turn on the lights, I can pick the lights as switches, but it dont make any sense to me to pick that, as they can turn on or off.

3: so I wanna bring these zzones into HSM under intrusion away, I can add these under motion sensors, howevere how will these zones interact with the lightings added in HSM, can the zones figure out the lights connected to the motion sensors and contact sensors, which I added into rooms when I got my box.
Maybe this is common knowledge for someone here that could fill me in

I wanna add ctivation timeouts and I dont see that anywhere in HSM, so I figure the zone motion controllers can do that, or maybe theres better ways to do that in HSM Im not aware off
I hope someone can enlighten me

Can you post a screenshot of what you have setup so far?

You can use motion sensors in multiple rules, should not cause a problem.

I would suggest using room lighting to setup the motion lights.

thanks you gor gettinga back to me, Ive attached all screen shots, let me know if you wanna see something specific. I have 2 hue bridges added one for indoor lighting and one for outdoor lighting.

Im unsure if I can pick the same sensors again again as motion sensor in the room to alsos used it as a trigger sensor, I would assume you can ofcourse.

But I do have no idea of it will turn the lights on or not vand also reset after the 10 min time out, I dont see that clearly. But will look into room lighting as well, but gotta read the documentation first, Ive attached 7 screen shots to see, if you wanna see more, let me know

the last 2 will be comming up

and the last 2 pics

Is something in all of that not works as expected? Best way to find out is to turn on the logging and then test it and check the logs.

You can also substitute virtual motion sensors for real ones so you can manually mark them active from the hub UI (device page).

I have now turned on the logging on all sensors, theres a lot of yellow warnings and blue debug bloxes, just not sure what they actually mean, cant seems to find that much info on how to react or look into those warnings and debugs, I can show you what it says on a screen shots.
For testing, before adding zone controllers, could activate the whole house at ones with arm away
sofar I have not tested with the newly added zones, I still have to do the room lighting as well
anyway heres a pic of a contact sensor log
and a multisensor 7 log

I do also notice when I go into devices and pick one, it sems to disable debug logging on alot of teh devices, I have enabled it for each device saved preferences and save device, but seems like it disable all my aeotec multisensor 7 devices and also all my aeorec multipurpose contact sensors?

Would be more useful to also have logging enabled for the apps being used, if they have logging options to turn on (not sure if HSM does)

I was not aware I could see logs in the apps, Ive looked, I can choose "show app logs" but will have to pick each device individually, but I can see all info from each device.
Im still quite new with hubitat so I learn something new everyday :sunglasses:
Still now aware where I can actually find information to read what these stats actually tells me warn or debug?

It depends on the app. A lot of them have options to turn on logging. Then those logs will be in the normal logs.

I see, thanks alot for the tips, Ill see what this can do for me in terms of the logs in the apps
and explore more into this
