A hub for your boat. Zigbee and wifi. Appears to be based from Italy.
I see a new project for srwhite
This is actually very cool. Reading the stats it seems it the hub cell service comes free with it -- That is a HUGE plus and means you aren't tied to using it on just a boat !!
ZigBoat™ is an innovative wireless system for monitoring and interacting with your boat either remotely or while on board ensuring safety and peace of mind with no monthly fees or subscription.
The cost for the hub is €396,00 or roughly $436 USD so that's where the 3G cost is at.
Hopefully it works better than Vera's - VeraSecure it's had that feature as well. Supposedly to be tied in with the Security system "paid" monitor they were trying to sell.
It will be interesting to see how much traction they get in the market. The marine electronics products today use NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 protocols along with ethernet and WiFi. Remote monitoring is pretty easy as many of these products have WiFi built in (as well as Bluetooth). The on-board displays (fishfinders, chartplotters, radar displays, and computers) have been the integration points so far.
