Anyone have a suggestion for this application? I building an expedition van (24v system) and have 5 different "lights" all 24v. I'd like to control the normal dimming/on/off scene etc. for each channel separately. I've seen many color controllers that have 5 channels but seem to be only controllable when in single color (white) mode together. I've seen a unit that does what I'm looking for, but can't find it. Suggestions?
I wonder if something like this work in your application. It just needs a 12vdc input, so could likely be connected “directly” to the battery:
BTF-LIGHTING Zigbee 3.0 WiFi 2.4GHz C04Z LED Controller Support RGBW Color LED Strip String Bulb Compatible with Hue Bridge Tuya Dual-Mode Gateway Hub DC5V/DC12V/DC24V Max 15A https://a.co/d/1akH4wE
Thanks for that. I wonder tho if the separate colors are exposed as separate dimmers in HE? This is really the question. It depends on the driver I'm sure rather than 'just' the hardware.
I suspect that the light’s intensity will just depend on the color selection. Green will trigger one of the streams, same for red and blue - and these could all be linked to each their own LED. Not sure how the return will work in those cases though.
It would also likely be possible for a driver to be built that would create a child device for each…
Havent seen that behavior myself. What ive seen is when u pick green, green channel goes to 100% and red/blue and even white go to 0%... if you get my meaning. Its all up to the driver tho, and since i cant write a driver im really looking for something that has been developed for this use. I can buy 5 single channel dimmers if i have to, but these channels are there and the manufacturer says they are available (yes im that guy and contacted the chinese maker) for separate control via driver program.
Good point! It would likely be quite an effort to figure out how to get each channel to act independently of the others…
I have no experience with this module, but I took a swing at the Gledopto site to learn what they might have:
