Zigbee plunger switch -- any exist?

Has anyone seen a Zigbee plunger switch anywhere? I'm looking for a very compact one to try to detect when a conventional U.S. sliding door lock is actually locked.

that's in interesting use case - I know with a deadbolt you could use a recessed door sensor (assuming you have the clearance to drill a hole deep enough) but just thinking of how that hook latch works on a sliding door - that's a tough one.

How about a tilt sensor on a stick - you know know the real lock  LOL

Why not connect a non-smart plunger switch to a sensor with dry contacts? I've used contact sensors and leak sensors for this.

I’m aware that I could kluge up a solution, but I have a WAF factor to take into account. Accordingly, I was hoping for a nice commercial solution.

I’m currently working on a “prototype” that uses an Aqara magnetic contact sensor (very small) and a homemade “plunger” with a magnet affixed to it that is lifted by closure of the locking mechanism to be in proximity to the contact sensor.

maybe a "micro" switch instead of plunger? here's some inspiration toward the end of this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/105qbni/zigbee_deadbolt_lock_sensor_state_only_no_remote/

Yup - that's the sort of thing that I had in mind. There are also mini-plunger switches available.

It is certainly possible engineer this such that it is largely unseen.

Not sure what type of sliding door you have, but posting this link in case it helps:

I saw the Pella solution, which was the inspiration for looking for a solution for my sliding door -- the lock of which is significantly different from a Pella, thus not allowing the same solution (no clearance for the sensor, no way to embed a magnet within the lock-lever).
