Zigbee pairing weirdness

I was pairing a centralite leak sensor yesterday and the zigbee pairing screen discovered two devices that surprised me. The two devices were both stuck at Initializing so I reset the centralite one and that paired correctly this time but same experience as @danabw that it was detected as contact sensor, not a big deal though since it was easy to switch.

Now I'm curious what the other device the hubitat hub detected when I was pairing, I don't see anything odd listed in my zigbee settings page.

Hard to tell. One time my Hubitat paired to a neighbor's zigbee bulb that had fallen off their network.

OMG, I would have had such fun messing with them

It was a GE Link bulb. I wanted to get it off my network ASAP :grinning:

I would always look back at this as a missed opportunity :smiling_imp:

Unless you're really good friends. I think there's an axiom "Friends don't let friends use GE link Bulbs" (or there should be :innocent:

Really weird, it didn't show up again after I paired the device a second time and I don't have any stray devices in my zigbee list.

I remember back in my Wemo days someone had a switch show up that wasn't there's and it took support to remove it from their account. They made a comment about how they kept turning it on and off thinking it was one of there's but nothing turned on. I laughed thinking that somebody somewhere probably thought they had a ghost.
