I'm new to Hubitat. I just moved over from Smartthings. I'm having issue with two Zigbee lights. I had one Sengled and Cree. They just seem to stop working randomly and then start working again later on when I try them. I got rid of the Cree and replaced with another Sengled but I'm still having the issue. Some times the one that is closer stops working and some times it's the one that is farther away stops. I tried moving my Wifi channel but that didn't help. The strange thing is they will work for days and then just stop and then maybe an hour later they are working again. Some times just moving the lamp a foot in any directions get it's working.
Sengled bulbs are great, that is all I use inside, but since they are zigbee they probably need a little help. I use the Peanut Outlet as a repeater, others use other brands but be careful which one you use if not the peanut. Others will chime in on what they have found works also. You just need some repeaters or other zigbee devices that repeat too.
Thanks but that's disappointing since my first Gen SmartThings didn't need repeaters for these lights. I've already added two AEOTEC range extenders to help the z wave side which smartthings didn't need either.
Nature of the beast. The reason is the Sengleds do not repeat which is good because they won't mess up the mesh. Adding a few line powered repeaters is worth it. Hubitat as you will find has a huge advantage over ST in so many ways.
Yeah I'm not ready to give up on Hubitat yet. I'been frustrated at time with the interface but so far I like it and see the potential. I just got to get it to the point were it's reliable. I already ordered two Peanut's from Amazon already. Hopeful they will fix the issue.
I know this is an old thread, but I just switched to Hubitat and am having the same issue with my Sengled bulbs. Curiously enough, they are only about 30 feet from the hub with only one wall between them. Did the Peanuts fix your issue?
If you search peanut plugs you will find that they have fallen out of favor with many here. They display some erratic behavior, even on the Almond network they were designed for. I would recommend the 4-pack of Sylvania plugs that are currently on sale on Amazon, or a couple Samsung (2018) plugs, or the Centralite plugs that are back in stock on Amazon.
