C8Pro hub, trying to get Zigbee group messaging working between Inovelli Blue switch and Inovelli Blue fan canopy module, both zigbee devices. The canopy module creates two child devices, one for the light and one for the fan. I tried direct messaging without success, so I'm trying to get the group messaging working as I can test each function there more easily.
I have the group setup, and if I send power on to the group device directly in the hub UI both the switch and the fan light turn on. Using the switch it turns on the switch and the group device in the hub UI but not the light. If I power on the canopy light the group device turns on. So the group is accurately reflecting the status of either device, and the group can control both devices. But turning on the switch still won't turn on the canopy light, and vice versa.
The group shows Group_782, so I entered 782 in both the switch and the canopy module light child device group binding. Zigbee group messaging is enabled. I also enabled smart bulb mode on the switch so the fan module never loses power. Everything seems like it's setup correctly but I'm still unable to turn on the light from the switch, and commands sent to the canopy module from the hub UI are not reflected on the switch. What am I doing wrong?
