Does ANYONE use the C8 to control a simple single-color LED strip???
I got a BTF-Lighting C01Z from Amazon but I can’t get it to pair to a driver that controls it. It comes up pairing as a “Advanced Zigbee RGBW Bulb” type but then nothing really works to dim it or on/off. Seems there are a few other brands that look identical. And it seems that HE is really short on drivers for LED strips.
Try a Generic Zigbee Dimmer driver. Works very well in my case.
BTF-Lighting C01Z is a single color controller, so the Advanced Zigbee RGBW driver is going to not do what you want/expect.
As already stated, try the Generic Zigbee Dimmer driver, then give the Advanced one a try.
For some of my controllers like this I’ve had luck with the Generic Zigbee CT Bulb (dev) and Advanced Zigbee CT Bulb drivers. The Advanced one often doesn’t work as well with simpler controllers like this, it has a few more options, but they often don’t work right.
Tried the Advanced Zigbee CT Bulb with some issues (like at power restore it would always come on about 10%).
The Generic Zigbee CT Bulb (dev) did not have settings for power restore and it didn’t obey level duration setting consistently.
The Generic Zigbee Dimmer had issues with the OFF command not sticking, the power restore locked in at ON, the ramp time could not be reliably set.
The Advanced Zigbee Bulb and the Advanced Zigbee CT Bulb both failed miserably.
Actually, I found that the LEVITON ZIGBEE DIMMER works best!
Also, what is the Start Level Change (up/down) to be used? It seems like it just takes the light up or down to full bright or off. There’s also a Stop Level Change but I can’t think of how that could be used either.
