Zigbee device "no information"

Using "hubipaddresss/hub/zigbee/getChildAndRouteInfo" command, there is an "unknown infomation for Child 6". Any way to determine what it may be or how to clear this?

Without a mesh mapping tool probably not, unless you have no other Zigbee routers/repeaters (potential parents) in your mesh; then you could check all your battery (or non-repeating) devices to see which one no longer functions. The child table entries get updated periodically so you don't need to do anything about it. Most likely (unless it truly has dropped off the mesh) the former child device got orphaned (bad RF link), found a better connection to another repeater and now has a new parent.

That is a pretty high number of child devices associated with your hub; well within the 32 limit, but it's kind of unusual for sleepy devices to choose the hub as a 'better' parent than some other nearby repeater. The child count of my hub is usually zero (there are several nearby repeaters; the Iris plugs I use act like magnets).

Are any other Zigbee repeaters nearby? Not that you need to add any if your devices are all working properly; more a question out of curiosity than anything else as my C-3 hub doesn't seem to be all that attractive a parent.

Thank you for the explanation. I 'found' it, now I have to find the actual device and plug it in.

Same here. It is surprising to see so many child devices.

That is a lot of child devices??? I have 27 when I look at mine lol. Is that bad? I also have 4 No information children.

It's not bad if things are working well; could be all your devices are in range of the hub and don't need repeaters. Things will actually work better that way..

If your devices are acting flaky, the mesh may benefit from a repeater or two, depending on the signal reception situation. The fact that there are no information children probably means they were joined to the hub at some point, got orphaned (fell off the mesh) and rejoined another repeater elsewhere and their slots (resources in the child table that the hub used to keep track of them) just haven't been reclaimed yet.

Great, thank you that is good to know. I have repeaters in every room [Samsung Outlets] and everything works great and fast.

I was wrong. Plugged it in, "no information" device still there. Good news, I just added another repeater to the zigbee mesh.
