Quick question.
I was having devices dropping out. After reading and taking advice. I figured my problem could be wifi interfaces.
My wifi is on channel 11 and my hub was on channel 20. I changed my hub to channel 11 .
All my iris sensors are back working and my sonoff sensors aren't. Is it possible that the sonoff sensors dont recognize that channel?
Or should I give it more time? Its been 12 hours.
Also Im open to any channel recommendation.
Thanks for the help.
If I recall correctly, the Sonoff sensors are always sleeping, except when sending a report, and don't listen for commands from the hub like most other (even battery powered) Zigbee devices. It's possible it will happen if you wait long enough, but if you don't want to wait or just want to make sure it works, I would re-pair. You don't need to delete the device from Hubitat; just reset the Sonoff device, put the hub in pairing mode, etc., like you would to pair it the first time. It should show up as a previously joined device (this trick only works for Zigbee), and then you know it worked.
Change to channel 15. You may need to rejoin devices, but donβt delete them from the hub. Just join again and the hub will report that it found a previously joined device.
Thanks for the help everyone. It was wifi interfaces, and repairing everything worked.
