Can the Ikea Somrig shortcuts button use zigbee binding to directly connect to a zigbee outlet. I want to use it as a multi-garage door and whole house shutdown remote. I have it connected to the Hubitat hub with the button controller 5.1 app but it is super flaky. Since it leaves the house for long periods of time, upon return, it often fails to command my zigbee outlet (outlet acting as a relay) attached to my garage door. If I could directly bind the button to the outlet, it should work without the need to communicate with the hub. It would also be nice to direct me to a zigbee binding tutorial with Hubitat since the only tutorial I could find is the inovelli one and I don't know if that will work with the Ikea Somrig shortcut button. Have never used Zigbee binding and am curious if this might work???
Unfortunately SOMRIG cannot do direct Zigbee bindings. You can use RODRET instead, it looks exactly the same. Here you can find more about Zigbee device-to-device bindings and how to configure them:
