Zemismart Driver use within Rules

I am running a C8 and C5 in mesh with latest software and drivers, including the Zemismart Zigbee driver for one AM43 (Moes) and several ZM85EL-1 Zemismart Chain/Cord motors.

The Zemismart devices work well with the driver published by a number of great developers. It works well with the dashboards and general open/close behaviors -- including setting top/bottom settings. Great work guys!

While I can live with open/close only behaviors, I'd like to be able to incrementally advance the blinds open or closed using Rules. When I try to build rules, I have yet to find a way to select the percentage target. I have Alexa working fine, as well as direct commands. I know the Rules will open and close ok, but I want all of them installed before doing that and distressing my spouse.

Is there something I am missing in my understanding on how to do automated percentages? The goal is to lower the blinds as the sunlight increases and raise them as it decreases -- maybe in percentages of 10%, or even their claimed 20/50/80 percent levels (which it does do).

Please help me figure out how to tackle this.

Thanks, Don

What commands does the driver you're using offer? You can find this on the "Commands" tab of the device detail page.

Depending on that, it's likely either a "Set Level" (dimmer-type behavior but found in some blinds drivers) or "Set Position" command would do it, which one of these Rule actions could do.

I use that driver for my theater shades, and I can confirm that it does use the switchLevel capability, and it has a command available for set level.

Edit: Looks like there are several drivers out there, I'm using kkossev's driver.

Thank you! Great insights that helped me find how to use partial opening. The illustrations were super.

I am also using the kkossev drivers and they have been FANTASTIC! KI will do a driver update shortly as I hadn't seen there had been an update.

Thanks, Don
