ZB replacement for Minimotes

Looked here and online but can’t seem to find a good alternative to the Minimotes.

I have 3 that are 10 years old. I even have new internal batteries I bought that are unused and about that old; they are probably toast now.

I figured I might replace the ZW remotes with a power saving ZB ones with a replaceable batteries but there are no small, 4 button remotes like it, that I can find.

The layout and size are a bit different (though I actually prefer the shape -- standard decorator switch size, at least if you're in the US), but the Zooz ZEN37 is a four-button, USB-rechargeable Z-Wave remote. Unlike the Minimote, it's also not intended to be a Z-Wave controller, so they aren't quite as finicky to get included.

There's also the ZEN34, which looks more like an actual paddle switch. While it doesn't have the same number of buttons, keep in mind that all of these support multi-taps (plus hold and release), so you can get more out of one button than a single action.

Third Reality also has a few Zigbee remotes, but I'm not sure there are built-in drivers for anything currently in stock (just got one to play around with myself!), and they aren't really like any of the above.

I have tried numerous 4 gang Zigbee scene switches, and the one I like most is below. it has a good battery life, reports battery life, and has good tactile feedback on button presses.

The Tuya one looks about right. The Zen isn’t a palm size that I can hide on the side tables.

I’ll look at that here and make sure press, hold and network stability are in order.

Didn’t use the word ‘scene’ in my searches so I missed that one.

Found this at a better price, two for about 12 bucks:

I think it is pretty small once you take it out of the mounting bracket/base. It’s designed to be used either way.

What’s the deal with the odd 12VDC battery? The price isn’t too bad, not like the one sensor I have that uses $ AAAA.

I just like to stock as few types as I can.

I see Moes has one just like it with a standard 2032 but the forum seems to be a bit off on them.

EDIT: Must be a rebrand. The pictures on their website are the same ones as the Tuya site.

23A or LR23Ais a standard battery size; example: Amazon.com: Amazon Basics 4-Pack 23A Alkaline Battery, 12 Volt, Long-Lasting Power, for Key Fobs and Garage Door Openers : Electronics

Also, I noticed that the second link I gave for the 2-pack of remotes was without batteries, while the first one included a battery.

This might be the ticket. 2032 and slimmer.

That one and the 3 button version, my wife loves them, and that says alot.

We know with Tuya you’ll likely get a different firmware version, and hopefully the driver picks up the clusters correctly, assuming they are the same clusters

Ordered 3 of those.

I’ll play with them, when they get here, and tick Solution.
