Z wave thermostat + floor sensor combination

After hours of unsuccessful search .... Help
At home, I have 7 thermostats with floor temperature sensor to control my hot water radiant heated floors.
I can't find any combination of Z-wave thermostat and floor temperatur sensor to upgrade my system.
Heatit Z-Temp 2 would be perfect, if available in North America.
Any suggestion ?
Thanks
Gilles

i use the ct 100 series or newer ct 100 plus

but none come with a temp sensor they all just sense room temp like a normal therm. which is what you need. why do you need a floor sensor.

i have thse for 5 zone in floor heating

If it must be Z-Wave then MCO Home has a floor thermostat that would work.

I have concrete floors, very long to heat up. I mostly use the floor temperature to setup the room temperature, the thermostat on the wall is only a feed back to know if it's done right.

I was going to recommend pearl thermostats but realized they are Zigbee.. they do work well with my radiant floors and have a temp sensor built in.

Your statement suggests you can change the temperature sensor(s). Is this the case? I'm not sure it helps.

I would contact Heatit and ask them if there is a version with the US frequency. Their web page says the unit has a 700 series Z-Wave chip, This chip can change frequency in the firmware.

I'm going to guess the sensors are NTC (Negative temperature coefficient) resistors. You can tell if you have an ohmmeter. They are usually 2k, 5k or 10k ohms at room temp. As they get hotter the resistance goes down.
The only thermostat I've ever seen that had a remote capability sensor is my Trane Thermostat for my A/C. However it is not automated.

honeywell has remote temp sensors and you can combine them and take an average.. i use the upstiars .. but they are not floor sensors they are remote wireless sensors for air temp.

I see that in my T9 Pro Z-Wave tstat.

On the one I have you can select the controlling element so it is possible to only control on the remote sensor (at least on this model).

So, the OP has two possibilities:

  1. If the floor sensors are replaceable Honeywell sells the remotes separately.

  2. I guess there is an outside chance the current sensors are the same as the Honeywell.

If somebody is really interested I can dig out my Honeywell (Trane) remote sensor and measure it. NTC resistors tend to be pretty standard.
