Yes i have the tmep/humidity ones for my 4 freezers and 2 digital for garage and basment. Then one of the other temp/humidity for outside temps. And a waterleak sensor that has the cord where any part gets wet it triggers around my waterheater. They have been very soild since day kne and useing cloud integration curently. There is others inwant but i want local hub working first. Plan to buy one now.
Dang that thing is expensive... Just for one ecosystem...
I agree that the local hub is expensive. I hope with volume it will eventually be more in line with the default hub. I have several of them, becuase during some prime day events, I could get a combo of a hub and multiple temp/humidity sensors for less than the cost of buying the sensors alone.
The strength is that my experience says the wireless distance really lives up to the claims so, I love being able to get consistent readings from inside my refrigerator and freezer, where I have found too much signal attenuation with other solutions.
Same, I originaly got into their eco system because of the temp sensors for my freezers. Then I got a corded water leak sensor, and grew from their. If it was not for a work bonus, I would not have purchased the local hub. I figured someone has to mess with the local hub. (Also found out with a little mod, I can easily add an external antenna which will be nice since I keep them in my server rack)
I really love their corded water leak sensors and now have 3 and plan to get more, and their pricing in below some of the other reliable stuff, and the range is great. Also just hooked up one for the outdoor contact sensors for my gate so we know if I left the gate open and the dogs could get out.
Water Leak Sesnor from them has already saved me possibly $10,000+ as I was alerted to a water leak from a busted sprinkler outside and was stating to flood my basment. And it was in a room I rairly go in so out woul dhave been very bad before I would have noticed otherwise. Now I only have less than $100 of damage.
SO the $200 for the local hub I can also justify it for the saving it saved.
