Yale Conexis L1 Z-Wave Lock

This lock has a built-in driver. I provided Mike Maxwell with a loaner some years ago to get this into HE.

Sometime over the past year or so the driver stopped reporting lock status – only battery reports get into HE every 6 hours. Lock and Unlock commands do work.

With some time on my hands over the holidays I installed a Z-Wave driver designed for the Yale Assure Z-Wave Lock – and with this my Conexis locks correctly report Open and Close status – but with this driver Lock and Unlock commands don’t work.

So this is not a Z-Wave mesh issue….. it’s clearly a driver issue and something must have changed in it over the past year or so…..

Can we look at this please? I can assist in testing.

Just tried that..... it's a definite improvement.

It missed one manual unlock and one unlock command was ignored..... possibly Z-Wave issues.

What does your z-wave details page look like? Can you post it in it's entirety? (screen shots not cut and paste)

You could probably benefit from some beaming repeaters (I recommend the Ring v2 extenders) but overall your mesh looks good.

Each of my three Conexis Z-Wave locks have an Aeotec Range Extender 6 in close proximity (3 to 4 foot away) and these beam. I have one Range Extender 7 in the mesh - I'm not too sure if it's helping or hindering.

Over the past months I moved my six Aeotec Heavy Duty switches a couple of Aeotec outlets and 13 non-plus Horstmann/Secure SRT321 Room Thermostats back onto a C4 where they are more stable.

Z-Wave mesh management is a pain.

I can confirm this is not a mesh issue. I have recently tried adding the conexis right next to the new wifi c-8 and nothing else in the mesh and it still behaves like this.

Have got this up and running and the zwave mesh is excellent.

I can get Hubitat to detect when lock unlocked using thumbwheel or RFID.

But I cannot get it to correctly reflect current state.

Each time I unlock it Hubitat shows a report of the lock being locked with the thumbwheel (which I am pretty sure you can't do)

So Hubitat shows the door as Locked when it is actually unlocked.

Is this a known issue? Any work arounds?

On the advice of @rlithgow1 I changed my driver to the built-in Generic Z-Wave Lock driver and at I now get lock status and notifications.
