Yale Assure Lock (v1) - Switch from Z-Wave to Zigbee module

For some reason my locks aren't working great on Z-Wave anymore. I don't know why. Most of my network is Zigbee anyway and FINALLY the Zigbee (red) modules are available again on Amazon for my lock. Are the "lock code" settings, "auto-lock", etc saved in the module or saved in the lock itself? Just wondering if anyone knows.

I intend to rename the lock to "-old" on each of the three lock names...then put the new Zigbee module in and add to network. Then use Hubitat's app replace device so my "events" will still fire from the zigbee versions.

Does anyone see issues with this?

TIA! (really!!!)

Jann

Guess you could remove the module and see if the keypad can unlock the door.

Confirmed that the lock code info is stored and maintained even after module replacement!

Thought so as you can manage door codes from the keypad even for locks with out a radio card. What I didn't test was would removing the radio module break it. Thanks for confirming as that may come in handy. You can also store your door codes in the Lock Manager App. Made it real handy when I added a lock and all I had to do was check its box.
