I would recommend, as long as you're not able to code something by yourself, to return it. As a replacement, you could use the Fibaro FGRGBW-101, which has a native driver. Or just do a quick search on RGBW-Controllers at the forum. I bet, there are tons of controllers, you could use. Like, for example WLED, for individual addressable LED-Strips.
yes, I tried that a dozen times. the only driver that would turn on/off is the Nue driver, otherwise, I have no functions, no matter what, after I hit configure..
In that case either the device is defective, or needs a specific driver. The easiest thing to do at this point is to return it. Sorta surprised that it doesn't work, most of these Zigbee 3.0 devices seem to just work without much fuss.
