X10 to Zwave protocol converter

I still have a number of X10 devices and have made a simple electro-mechanical hack to permit only limited control by Habitat/Zwave. I would much prefer an X10 to Zwave protocol converter and suspect that others might also be interested. I have not found much relevant content in this forum much less word of any commercially available device. If you have built or know of an X10 to Zwave protocol converted I would love to know about it.

What kind of X10 devices? There are some zwave dry contact sensors available.

If you can connect your X10 devices to a 2242-222 hub, which you can still find used, you can try this integration. It works great for Insteon devices and a 2245-222 hub. I use it for my dimmers. I can’t recall if any X10 users tried it, but I do recall someone saying the 2242-222 hub worked with Insteon and this integration.

Another possibility is using the 2242-222 hub with HA and HADB to link back to Hubitat. HA supports the hub, and I use their integration anytime I need to configure or add Insteon devices to my Insteon hub. You can easily spin up a VM with Home Assistant to try it out.

I didn't realize X10 was still around. What I do recall is using a Radio Shack control box on the night stand with 3 dimming table lamps and my coffee pot on the buttons. 1982ish? Even could get an X10 card for the ol Apple ][e but didn't because I needed it to do other tasks and didn't want to leave it on all the time.

Thank all of you for several helpful suggestions. The background for my interest is that I have used X-10 in several houses over the years and still have a dozen X-10 devices on irrigation lines and use “Active Home” control software via a CM-15A interface and a XTB-IIR amp. I also use about 30 Z-wave devices controlled via Hubitat C-8. My X-10 setup gives me better range than Hubitat, so I’d like to keep it but have the Hubitat control possibilities.

Just out of curriosity, what are the disadvantages of a used $30 USD Insteon 2242-222 hub for controlling X10 devices?

I'm sure this has been explained to me in the past, but my brain is older than X10. Can someone explain it again?
