X Sky Zigbee3/Matter Downlights

Not sure if this qualifies as "Get Help", but couldn't find another category.

Anyone tried these lights yet?
Wondering if they work or not with HE.

Those look great on paper! I wish they had a single pack to try out.

With that box though, I don't know how those mount in my cans... I have the spring arm style downlights.

EDIT: Ah I see they have retrofit style too, that's what I need.

It would be much easier to assume compatibility if the manufacturer was clear on their specifications. They say "Matter" and "Zigbee 3.0," but Zigbee is not a native physical layer for Matter, so you'd need a bridge, which might be the mysterious unit pictured in the first image. But I don't see any more information on that . Then there's the information they provide that suggests wide Zigbee compatibility, including with the the Hue Bridge, which makes me think they're likely standard Zigbee 3.0 (e.g., no proprietary clusters like Tuya), so that's pretty hopeful for being able to pair directly to Hubitat. But...it's hard to guarantee without anything clearer.

If you try them, let us know!

The mysterious box is 99% a rebranded Tuya Matter bridge (based on the plastic box form-factor from the picture).

Right in the listing it says Hubitat compatible,

Maybe @mike.maxwell can confirm?

@Rxich - That's a different product than what I originally posted. But those look super cool as well.

Hi John, Correct, however it is very unlikely that the manufacturer would have 2 differing Zigbee builds based only on differences in electrical connections. I think the most likely scenario is the firmware is identical. I'm curious if the company worked with Hubitat to be able to place that in their listing, or if they are assuming compatibility. I was tempted to order to check it out. We could always return if it doesn't work out. If we wait till November to order, the return period is extended for almost 3 months, due to Xmas season.

Good point. I have a remodel project underway now... I might buy this set you referenced anyway... fewer instruments, and they have that cool sidelight feature!

No idea who makes this!, so I can't comment but most RGB bulbs will work with either the advanced or generic zigbee drivers even if discovered as "Device"
