Hello everyone,I know this is an odd request, but,I was wondering if anyone might have an old Sylvania Smart+ slim under cabinet light they would want to sell? I'm one short for my new kitchen layout.I have the plug in transformer and zigbee controller, just need a fixture! Thank,Andy
Hello, Is this what you need? Careful. I own the Zigbee one also and unless it's a bad picture, these ones linked below seem a slightly different style
Hey Rxich, No those aren't the ones. I should have put the model # 72569. They have been discontinued for a while and are impossible to find. Thanks for replying.
The ones you show should work because its a cabinet by itself. Thanks for the link!
I've purchased many items, about 15 Sylvania Smart+ items from franko, they treated me well. Unfortunately Sylvania is out of the Zigbee business, now they only make WiFi items, and I'll venture a guess, that tactic will fail and they'll be out of the smart light business in the future
Thanks for that recommendation. I was looking at buying something from them.
@Rxich I throw caution to the wind as I have 4 of the lights pictured above. 3 12” and one 9” hard wired in a few closets. I’ve had them for a few years now and they often (1-2 months) fall off the mesh. I wired in a toggle switch and sometimes simply turning it off and back on will reset them to working status again. Most of the time I have to re-pair, and that process can be frustrating. Now I have a multitude of other zigbee plugs and switches and have no issues with them. One is even In the room with the hub and it will fall off. Idk if this an issue for you? That and I’ve noticed the off status won’t change unless off is hit twice. Hitting once will turn it off but the hub still thinks it’s on!? Now I do have 1 of the lights @AMfromFL was looking for as well and it works perfectly and has never fallen off!?
Hey Murv82,those (# 72569) have never given me a problem, knock on wood.Best ultra slim under cabinet lights, but they're like unicorns.
Yea the one I have has been solid as well, the convertible ones @Rxich referred to are the ones I have issues with falling off. Like I said I think I have a solid mesh with several plugs and a few switches around the house. That and the 4 I have are inte room and next to the room with the hub.
I had issues with some of my Sylvania lights. Things worked great for a long time. Then certain lights would fall off the mesh randomly after a few months. It was never really consistent. It got worse as I started adding more motion sensors.
I ended up setting up a dedicated mesh just for my Zigbee lights and my problems went away. Since then I have only had two exterior lights drop off from the edge of my mesh in two or three years.
Now when I add lights I'll only use ones that are not repeaters.
Mine were fine for about 1 year, then towards the end of 2022 mine will occasionally drop off the mesh. I don't need to re-pair it, I just cut power for 10 seconds and then within a minute or so I can control it again. It has a great LQI, so i suspect something with Zigbee in the hub might have changed
Luckily someone contacted me that had a spare fixture, will be here Monday!!
